C&PA have worked on a number of warehouse conversions in the area. Recognising this expertise, we were approached by the client to provide a full service to convert two adjoining Victorian warehouse buildings into a retail and office space for rent.
The building is Grade II listed and the challenge was to meet the demands for a 21st Century office and retail space whilst retaining the original character of the building, particularly the existing roof trusses, flooring, fenestration and brickwork. The ground floor was opened up with rooflights over floor voids allowing light to penetrate into the basement, whilst an additional top floor was created by the introduction of a mezzanine space working around the retained roof trusses.
The building is now fully let to local design studios.
C&PA provided a full service including design, planning and contract administration.
