The piece of land sits within the Green Belt to the rear of several listed buildings onto Totteridge Village. It has its own distinct boundaries, lined by tall historic brick walls. Historical research shows the land was previously a walled garden with a small building located at the top of the site. Since the late 1920’s the land has remained unoccupied and vacant for many years.
It has considerable potential to re-create a fine garden attached to a new contemporary dwelling ensuring its future with sustainable management.
The proposals seek to create a new modest but contemporary house on the position of the historic building, which is no longer exists. The brief is to create an exemplary piece of architecture that both responds to and enhances the site to ensure the land is managed sustainably for the years to come.
