C&PA have designed a new hotel led development in Ilford. The proposal also included a mixed of commercial and residential uses on lower floors. This challenging brief seeks to deliver a viable short stay accommodation within the context of the an adjacent Grade II listed building.

Carefully considered massing is designed to maximise development frontage while responding to the context of the listed building. The creation of improved public realm on the prominent gateway site on the edge of Ilford town centre provides the opportunity for further development of the surrounding buildings in the future.

The materiality and landscaping have been carefully considered to work in conjunction with the listed building, which has undergone several changes of use and extension to the rear.

The project is currently being taken through planning.
